Wedding Invitations are not the largest environmental impact, but there are many ways to make them both more exciting, and a way to introduce your guests to the greening efforts at your wedding.

The basic green effort with invitations is, of course, using recycled or tree-free paper, but here are some other ideas:

  • Encourage your attendees to check out a green travel site, or a carbon offsetter, as part of the invitation.
  • In Europe, it's common to skip the formal RSVP, and simply call or email.
  • No one we know has explored singing telegrams, but we're waiting for a story!
